Hiking to Duncan bay and Merritt Lane??

Has anyone hiked to Duncan bay and or Merritt Lane from Rock Harbor??

Wondering if the trees and underbrush are too thick or not? Looks like a ridge you could possible stay on most of the way.

I think Duncan may be swamp locked. Merrit should be doable, with many open areas along the ridge line you wouldn't be jungle whacking the entire way.
