Re: 2021 Trip Advice: Minong Ridge, to Daisy Farm
I think I have some kind of plan for a longer trip. I am planning a shorter Feldtmann loop trip and a longer Minong ridge trip. They would not be in the same year, but which one I do first depends on the number of days off I can allow for that year. For the Minong ridge trip, I am thinking of going ...

I am planning my next 2 trips, but they wont be in the same year. Which one I do first depends on the numbers of days ...

2021 Trip Advice: Minong Ridge, to Daisy Farm
I am looking for advice for my 2nd trip to the island. Last year, 2019, was my 1st trip to IR and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I walked from Rock Harbor to Windigo, via, 3 Mile CG, Mt Franklin, W. Chickenbone, Hatchet Lake, S. Lake Desor, and on into Wash Creek camp. My main objective was to walk from ...

Just now putting in a trip report for my first ever trip to the island last year in 2019. I thought I would do this, because I was so grateful for everyone else on here in using their information to help plan my trip. I greatly appreciate the great resource this site was in planning my trip. This ...

That was quite the report, I enjoyed it a lot.
You are an animal for completing that.
I went across last year for the first time, and cant wait to get back. I was proud of myself for just going across once.
Thanks for all the detail. I am researching my next trip.
Thanks.

Re: Replacment Backpack Straps
I got a hold of a person at Kelty. They are working on getting me some options for replacements.
If it doesnt work out, I will post some pics, and ask for other solutions.
Thanks for the help.

Replacment Backpack Straps
I am looking for help from anyone. I need to replace the back pack straps on an older, external frame, aluminum framed pack, which I purchased at a garage sale long ago. It has a camofl. bag, and I think it came from gander Mountain. I used it on the island last year for the first time, and worked ...
