I am looking for help from anyone.
I need to replace the back pack straps on an older, external frame, aluminum framed pack, which I purchased at a garage sale long ago.
It has a camofl. bag, and I think it came from gander Mountain.
I used it on the island last year for the first time, and worked great, but the material is starting to pull away from the round grommet at the top end of strap.
It has a round grommet at the top end and a buckle at the bottom for a one inch wide strap to run thru.
I see on the Kelty site, replacements for a Trekker 65, but they are out of stock. They have not returned an email to me in 2-3 weeks, likley becasue of the pandemic. Is this the only source or does anyone know of others.
Thanks to anyone who can help.

Re: Replacment Backpack Straps
does the entire strap need replacing, or can you just unthread the lower portion and replace the short piece with the grommet and adjuster? I'm looking a picture from amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Kelty-Trekker-65 ... B01JAERG1M

Re: Replacment Backpack Straps
Post a picture of what's broken. I have an old, old, old Kelty pack. I'm willing to cut off the straps or send you the whole thing if it's compatible. These older straps can be repaired with different styles of webbing. Flexible Gorilla glue and a few sewing stitches can do wonders.

Re: Replacment Backpack Straps
I got a hold of a person at Kelty. They are working on getting me some options for replacements.
If it doesnt work out, I will post some pics, and ask for other solutions.
Thanks for the help.
