Not sure what you mean by Middle Island Camera? We have a camera looking down at Middle Islands Passage from Ojibway Lookout... Not thrilled with the color balance on it lately so it will get some attention in a month ...

We can adjust the Color/B&W threshold, but going any further results in poor(er) image quality. As the light amplification on the cameras goes up, the noise and blurring goes up also... gives us a color image that looks terrible. I think this is about as good as we're going to get with these cameras ...

It's manageable provided you all are fit, experienced, and no one gets injured. You're not going to be pulling thousands of feet of elevation gain in a day... but be prepared for generally SLOW trails. Lots of rocks, roots, and arrow uneven tread. There will be lots of windfalls not cleaned up yet ...

yes, the station is up on a ridge near Windigo. A good bit off the trail so it's not generally noticed.

The park has parts on order for the Mt Ojibway weather station. Should be back up and running soon.

In addition to the Passage Island and Rock of Ages Lighthouse weather stations, which are operated and maintained by NOAA, the park maintains 2 automated RAWS stations on the island.

The Ojibway SW Webcam has been replaced with a newer camera.

View is similar, but new camera has a different focal length so produces a more natural appearing image with less fisheye effect.
