I saw this yesterday when I was checking snow depths. Pretty amazing. I don't remember it being that windy in Duluth/Superior on that day. I only clocked a wind gust of 25mph at my house. I guess I *am* inland and not on a ridge or exposed directly to the vast open-ness of Lake Superior, however:  http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstat ... &year=2012

For those interested, the wind gust readings Ingo speaks of are posted here: http://www.crh.noaa.gov/product.php?sit ... glossary=0
