I say sure why not. Everyone on here seems nice enough and trustworthy. I would not have any opposition against it.

Tried in Chrome and IE8. Form invalid (same thing in the other poll). I vote yes.

I've used the gear swap forum on backpackinglight.com with much success. It'd be nice to have one on here to have more exchanges with people from the area...

Nearly 120 views and only 7 votes I can't help but think that there is not enough interest to support a trade thread. Well thats why we put it to a vote!

I don't know that you can assume those 120 views were by human beings.
