Re: Park Service getting ready
Today I started going over my gear for my IR trip too. I'm getting amped about it. This is just more fuel for the fire.

Re: Park Service getting ready
Im going to the island in just over a week from now and I really need to get my head in the game. I have not set out a plan. I have not determined what I am bringing and what I am leaving. I am have totally left all planning and prepertation until the last minute. How stupid am I? Well at least I have the upcoming weekend to dwell on things and the weekend after that too if necessary.

Bring warm clothes! It is snowing today! One plus is you won't see any bugs.
Also spoke with one of the trail crew the other day and they are going up in early May. Expect alot of windfalls on the trails. It'll be good practice for your backcountry ambitions.
