After making two seperate trips to the Island this summer one by backpack and one sailing, The first week in May & second(I think)in June, Isle Royale has not been on my mind much in July. This morning I was waking up on my couch and heard the flight call of a loon through an open window. Thats all it took.... now my mind is racing for the first couple of weeks in August. I am probably going to do a combo backpack\sailing trip this time, with my brother running the sailboat while I come and go. HERE WE GO AGAIN! ROUND THREE!!!

Good for you. We are going to have to get you upgraded from a LNT to May live on Isle Royale Ranking. If everything works out this fall I hope to spend most of the summer next year on the island with my boat. I finaly desided to go with adding bigger tanks to the sailboat over the carver. The extra power and speed would have been nice but I like the overall way that a sailboat seems to fit in with the slower pace of the island verse the push the throttle to the max of the powerboat and the rest of the world. Ps I think I heard the wolf howling after your loon called. Richard
