We've decided to hit some of the east end of the island, starting with going from McCargoe to Lane Cove. While that's a half-marathon with full packs, we were curious if there's any good place to back-country along that route. I've been able to determine that BC zones 14 & 31 are do-able, but was curious where was a better alternative.
I'm leaning towards Sargent lake based upon this IncaRoads' post on back-country zones:

Does any one have any input on this? Or suggestions on a good route down to Sargent or the smaller lake, Lake Wagejo? Thanks in advance for your input.
