Big Agnes Fly Creek?

Post by alecto73 »

I am trying to figure out what makes the Platinum superior to the standard Fly Creek UL# model. Kind of scratching my head and coming up empty. Any ideas?

2 oz on the 2 person @ $55/oz. Maybe just the difference between mesh and fabric walls?

Ok... I'm looking at the singles and there's no weight difference so I was very confused. Does not sound like any world-changing technology in the Platinums over the original, at least not in a way that makes a diffference in the 1 person version. thx

Just read something on campmor.com in the Q&A section that they redesigned poles to be thinner and saved a couple oz's. This was on the 2 person.

Fly creek 2 is right at 2 lbs and comfortable for one tight for two. I traded my fc for an fc2
