YouTube Embedding
I noticed that there is a youtube feature while you are making a post , but do not understand what I am suppose to take and place in between the boxes to have a youtube video pop up within the actual forum post like some of us do with pictures on here. I tried 5 different things but eventually just used the feature to post the link to the youtube video in another post. Can anyone explain how to take advantage of the option?

Re: YouTube Embedding
ooo I know why!!!!
Flash is off.... or this would work by itself
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/xpMfoUhdaGU?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
could be something to keep the bandwith down on the server?

Re: YouTube Embedding
Ya I was going to say, I tried all of the options that you listed and had absolutely no luck. I guess flash is off and I would not be surprised if it was to keep bandwidth down. A lot of people come on here and we want to keep things simple and cheap so that all can enjoy the site. No big deal, I can always just post a url link. Thanks for your help anyways lucky.

Re: YouTube Embedding
It appears the YouTube code changed some. I'll have to figure out to what and update the embed code.

Re: YouTube Embedding
YouTube embedding is now working. It will work with any YouTube video.
Likewise, it will also work with many other web video services, such as Vimeo.
To embed a video, just paste the link into your post and then enclose it with the "video" tags, which can be found above the "Message body" box in your post.
For YouTube:
Usage:
Example:

For Vimeo:

Re: YouTube Embedding
Even though I hiked the Border Route trail (Minnesota) this year, I needed an Isle Royale fix and these videos helped. I look forward to next year's trip to ISRO.
