Michigan's Shore-to-Shore Trail

Anyone here hiked Michigan's Shore-to-Shore trail? I bought the maps from the MTRA and I'm think about heading out at the end of April/beginning of May for a solo thru-hike.

Would appreciate any stories, experiences, thoughts or kind words.
