One of my favorites.
Self portrait, by the way.

Re: Guess What Campground?
Sunrise at Three Mile? Or maybe Daisy or Moskey, but I'll go with Three Mile. Would have been later in the season I think.

Re: Guess What Campground?
A good pic, we're all stumped.
My wild-ass guess is Malone at sunset, up the trail at Siskiwit lake.

Re: Guess What Campground?
It's embarrassing none of you has recognized the famous Island Mine sunset.
I too am stymied. My first guess would have been Feldtmann, looking at the beach. You're setting on what appears to be a fairly established ridge or platform, though; which then makes me think of more populated areas. The beach is too sandy for Lane Cove. I never found a shoreline that nice at Desor N. (Although I heard there is one? Maybe that's it. My guess is Desor N.)

Re: Guess What Campground?
Peaceful end to second day at camp. I had the place to myself.
8/24/09 sunset.

Re: Guess What Campground?
As Jim DeFresne described this camp in his 4th edition guide book, IRNP foot trails and water routes:
"On a clear day, this is also one of the few places where you can view Canada from your campsite."
Use of my signature line also, may help.

Re: Guess What Campground?
Tom flirted with it, treeplanter gets the nod.
Lane Cove #4.
I had this sunset after returning from a day hike to Lookout Louise.
On my hike back, I was delayed by a mother moose with her calf right in the middle of the trail.
I also dropped my windshirt somewhere along the return from the lookout to the the junction of the greenstone and lane cove trails.
I was just about ready to hike back to find it, when some day hikers coming from hidden lake/lookout louise happened along with my windshirt.
I would have most likely missed the sunset, if it had not been for the great people that visit this Isle.
