Re: Guess What Campground?
No, but, it is on an island!
"And standing on the the crest of the Greenstone Ridge, I suddenly had this desire to retreat north to where I just come, to stay in the backcountry, to spend another day in a place where the only deadline I had was to pitch the tent before dark."

There are, I think, over 400 islands around this island that you speak of?!

Re: Guess What Campground?
That's why I put the twisted evil emoji; the main Isle is an island!
Photo is on the "main" Island.
Another hint below.

Now that is some rough-looking water! I guess the "lady" was in one of her moods!

In your first picture, if it is the area I am thinking of, I took a picture from those rocks of the sunset on this area (if that doesn't sound confusing).

On an island you say? Hmmm.
Of all the islands with campgrounds, I only know of 2 with enough elevation (Belle and Beaver) to match that second picture but neither has a plan view that matches the 2 pictures. Unclear on your clue when you refer to "main" island. Maybe that's where I'm going wrong.

If one were to arrive at Rock Harbor campground, one could walk to the pictured campground.
It is on the "main" island.

Re: Guess What Campground?
It is Huginnin Cove.
Let's see the sunset pic of yours kolo. Then put up a guess pic.

Re: Guess What Campground?
Technically I was incorrect because I misspelled Huginnin. But here are three pictures I took at the cove last summer. The sunset over
Canada is the one I included in my annual calendar that I put together.

Re: Guess What Campground?
Ingo will probably be the first to correctly guess this picture, as he has referred to this location on this forum before. It is a sunrise shot.
