I'm doing a GIS(geographical information systems) project for a college class. Any GPS coordinates anybody would be able to send me, for any landmarks on IR that you may have would be a great help for me. Campsites, landmarks, shipwrecks anything at all.

Thanks a bunch.

This is from the "Old" site. That should get you started.

There are map sites that as you move the cursor around will give you the coordinates for that position.

Hi amazingdon,

I have MapTech at home that I can use to get lat/long or UTMs. If you have a dozen or so IR locations you want coordinates for, I can get them for you.

Keweenaw, if you could look for these campsites it would be great:
McCargoe Cove
West Chicken Bone
Lake Ritchie
Chippewa Harbor
Todd Harbor
Little Todd Harbor
Lake Desor
Windigo
Feldtmann Lake
Siskiwit Bay

Just so I could check them against the coordinates that are on the website that johnhens gave me it would be very much appreciated

I'm going to bump this thread, rather than starting a new one.
Is anyone else familiar with the NPS GIS data store? This link should take you to the list of their GIS data for Isle Royale. It's mostly geology data in ESRI export format but there are also files for trails, campsites and docks.
