My husband i are heading week after next, neither of us have ever done this... our plan is... and please tell me if we’re nuts!
Day 1- Arrive RH hike to Daisy farm (along the lake)
Day 2- hike to 3 mile. (Green stone trail)
Day 3- back to RH for home.
Seems hike we should be able to handle the milage neither of us are super fit or young, but we manage regular 6-8 mile hikes locally.
Any suggestions for worthwhile short trips near 3mile would be helpful too?
1st time ever! Input please

Looks like you have a good plan for a short trip. Pretty easily done mileage. The rock harbor trail that you plan to take on day 1 is harder than the tobin harbor trail but not too bad. Tobin harbor trail would also be nicer if it is raining because the rocks are very slippery on the rock harbor trail. Also I am not sure if it was a typo but you wrote Day 2 and then skipped to Day 4. Just be aware that you can't stay at 3 mile for more than 1 consecutive night. Have fun!

That is a nice first trip. Daisy might be a bit too much for "neither of us are super fit or young" if you are getting off the Ranger at 3:00. Remember your itinerary as filed is flexible. Mount Franklin and Suzy's cave are nice places to look at. Consider the Tobin harbor trail for different scenery on the way back.

That is a nice itinerary. As said, that first day will be a long one. I would definitely take the Tobin Harbor trail and cut down to the Rock Harbor trail as it is easier and thus, faster. Leaving Daisy and going back via the Greenstone is a pretty easy walk once up. Plan on stopping at Mount Franklin. Have a great trip!
