It’s an 11-year cycle for solar activity, which causes auroras. We are on the upswing of the cycle, heading toward peak activity estimated in 2024-2025. Enjoy the activity while it’s high!

June 5-6, the solar storm group that caused the amazing auroras last month will be back in a similar position. It may or may not “ belch” another burst of energy. Also coincides with a New Moon so background skies will be darker!
