That looks like it should be a worthwhile show, I haven't turned my TV on in months...

I was checking out the PBS site at came across this Isle Royale video clip. I don't know if it made it into the final show, but here's the link: http://www.pbs.org/nationalparks/search ... s&count=30 . Looking deeper into the site, there could be a mention about IR in episode 4, 5, or 6. Guess we'll have to just watch and see!

Aparently the DVDs have additional segments which are not scheduled to be aired.

Last night's (9/29) show was all about how the automobile changed the National Parks. It's nice that I.R. was not part of that change.

Historically, it has been an interesting series as I have learned more about the early days of the NPS, would like to see more footage of other Parks. Too much about Yosemite, Yellowstone ect. There are 58 parks.

So far they've been dealing with the history and the early history of the National Parks is clearly western. They did mention I.R. last night. It may get more into the individual parks later in the series.

Overall I was very impressed with the series, and frankly glad they only mentioned IR briefly 2 times. It is truly amazing that the National Parks have gotten to where they are today based upon all the turmoil they have gone through. If anyone hasn't seen the serious I would strongly encourage everyone to watch it. It makes one proud to have the worldwide national park movement have started in the U.S.
