The MV Voyager II
The Voyageur II is a 60' aluminum diesel cruiser that combines mail and passenger service to Isle Royale. This trip offers visitors an opportunity to see the entire park, and allows passenger drops at several trailheads and paddling embarkation points around Isle Royale. The Voyageur II travels clockwise around the park, staying overnight at Rock Harbor.

Thanks for these pictures; they are great. I love the Voyageur; it's so unique (at least to me; I've never been around boats all that much though.) Every time I see it, I have to take a picture, even though I have a blue million pictures of it already and they all look exactly the same. The times I have been working in Tobin Harbor out of the Dassler cabin, I was always so thrilled to hear it coming into Tobin. I always hear it before I see it and it's like a familiar voice calling "hello again." I can easily understand how the island residents got so attached to the boats that brought them supplies.

Ahh yes, that pic of the VII steaming in around the rocks at Chippewa Harbor is always one of my favoritest (yet saddest) things to see. What an awesome boat.
