GORP

Post by johnhens »

What goes in your GORP?

1# mixed nuts
1# spanish peanuts
soynuts
craisins
mini M&M's
sesame sticks

I am all for keeping it simple. I used to put either carob chips, or peanut butter chips but they get mooshy after a while.

Granola
Lots of M&Ms
Whatever else sounds good at Whole Foods that day--nuts, sunflower seeds, dried fruit, etc.

If I can find and afford them, what I love is a Persian "problem solver" nut mix. This includes a variety of stuff including almonds, pistachios and dried white mulberries. You can find these some mid-eastern grocery stores. Otherwise, just about any mixture of nuts and dried fruit. Last trip we went a little too heavy on the dried fruit. (Note to self: More cheese, less dried fruit.)
