Just got back

Just got back from first trip over. Went over last Friday (3rd) from Copper Hatbor. What a ride big waves, lots of hurling. Glad the Captaion knew what he was doing. First nigth super windy anbd rain, but got better after that. Saw a moose at Moskey. Cant wait to go back.

This sounds reminiscent of my first trip...lots of big waves and lots of hurling, we saw a couple moose on that trip, and we got rained on as well. The obvious thing is that all the "negative" stuff didn't impact your feelings about the island seeing as you can't wait to go back. It didn't affect ours either -- we've been back five times since then.

I heard from someone who got back yesterday that the mosquitoes and black flies are all but non-existent. He said he didn't have to even use any bug spray. Any truth to that?

I just got back on the 12th. The only mosquitoes that we saw were at West Chickenbone. No black flies.
