This site (http://www.us-national-parks.net/) used to have a very nice, active Isle Royale web forum, but it disappeared quite some time ago. I was sad to see it leave, but this one has taken its place. Hooray. :)

Ive tried several times to register at nationalparkschat.com and it just keeps saying this username is disalowed. Can someone help me?

This site is not necessarily a "national parks" web site, but a site of Appalachian trail enthusiasts.

It has been under new ownership, and they haven't done much. The former owner now has this site for yellowstone:

Also, unless I am mistaken, I think THIS website was created by a user of the old us-national-parks.net Isle Royale chatpage.

Another former user of that website created one for Olympic National Park:
