I guess it depends on what type of reservation you want; I know for the ferries that are run via concessionaires (Voyageur II, "new" Wenonah, and Queen IV) they have to wait until their schedules are approved by the Park Service (not that they change that much) before they can start taking reservations. That's normally been mid to late January in the past.

I'm jealous you already have your plans in place!

Thank You, Tom! I have a good trip planned this year and I'm tired of PHX.

Well, with pretty much continuous snow cover since Nov 13th, only a few days since Dec seeing about 32F, and looking at the next week with possible sub-zero highs and lows beyond -20F, PHX might be looking a little better to me than MSP!
At least the sun angle (and daylight) is growing..
Here comes spring. Here comes spring. Here comes spring.

This is the only time of the year I don't miss Minnesota and it's below zero days. I'm cold here in Ohio and so far we haven't gone below zero yet (now that I said that it'll probably happen).

I would roll around in snow with boxers on if there was a chance I could move back to Michigan. I can't wait to ice fish again! The only thing I like about PHX is that I can train for IR a lot easier. The mountain terrain out here is just like IR's rocky surface.

You forgot to say that you hike with a 50# pack multiple times per week up a 2000 ft butte-can we say "completely obsessed!". [;-)

FYI, I talked to Capt Don yesterday and he said that the online reservation system is 100% operational and up-to-date. He spent a lot of time working with the company to get it working.

He also hopes to be on the phone in GP taking reservations sometime next week!
