The new(fourth) edition of Jim DuFresne' book is available through Jims' website and various other vendors.
Check out Jims' site at: http://www.michigantrailmaps.com/
Or the Isle Royale and Keweenaw Parks Association site at: http://www.irkpa.org/
I happened to hike, on my 2009 visit to the park, with Jim out of Windigo towards Feldtmann Lake.
I was even lucky enough to get a photo of me in the new edition of his book. Check it out on page 99 of the fourth edition.

Isle Royale National Park: Foot Trails and Water Routes
"And standing on the the crest of the Greenstone Ridge, I suddenly had this desire to retreat north to where I just come, to stay in the backcountry, to spend another day in a place where the only deadline I had was to pitch the tent before dark."

Pretty cool. I'll bet you had some good conversation on the trail.

I picked the new edition of Jim's book through his website before Christmas and he wrote a nice note to me in the front of the book. I highly recommend the book for anyone planning a trip to ISRO. The maps are detailed and the written trail guides are a great information resource.
