For those of you waiting, I see that GPIR (the ferry service out of Grand Portage, with the Voyageur II and Wenonah) is now taking reservations. Check the website for details. The schedule looks real similar to last year; Voy II starting on May 8th.
Hmmmm. I think it might be a 'first boat' year for me this year!

For those new to the forum or may have forgotton, while Capt Don (who runs the service) participates on this forum as a regular guy who loves the Isle as much as the rest of us do, he's asked in the past that if you have specific questions regarding the service to just contact him/the company via the website (reservations@isleroyaleboats.com) and not via the forum pages. Certainly (as anyone on the forum can help answer) general route/service questions are fine, especially if they benefit other planners, just none of the "Capt Don, can we bring extra supplies for our trip on June 5th" type stuff...

(No update for 2010 on their website just yet)

Re: GPIR now taking reservations...
Tom, thanks for the update. My buddy and I are planning a mid-May trip and the last time I checked the Voyageur site they did not yet have their 2010 schedule up. We'll have to book it soon.

Royale Air has their 2011 schedule posted. $290 round trip. The same as 2010.
