VHS has been discovered in Lake Superior

Re: VHS has been discovered in Lake Superior
Bad news. I fish the St Louis River a lot and haven't seen anything bad yet, hopefully it won't hurt it too much. I guess we'll find out this spring.
Pretty sad the Gov't doesn't seem to care much. I understand the need for business/shipping, but how many years does it take to find a responsible way to do things?

Boy, this isn't good news for the Great Lakes and their surrounding states and Canada. I know that shipping and other businesses bring in a lot of money but, so does the sport fishing business. Fishing, or possibly lack thereof, due to these new issues, will most likely have a dramatic negative effect on all those economies. The Asian carp issue is a big problem but, now we will have to deal with this virus as well. Let's hope the politicians get off their collective rear ends and do something before there is irreversible damage.
