Really liked the panoramas Tom. What program did you stitch them with?

Todd Harbor is one of my favorite places on Isle Royale (darn, now that I think about it, I think I say that about EVERY place on Isle Royale). But if you want an amazing sunset, Todd Harbor is the place to be.

Here's some more pics as well:

Todd Harbor sunset, June 2009: http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/PB ... directlink (from this trip album: http://picasaweb.google.com/fonixmunkee ... leJune2009#)

Todd Harbor sunset, May 2006: http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/t_ ... directlink (from this trip album: http://picasaweb.google.com/fonixmunkee ... aleMay2006#)

Just a few minutes later, different colors during sunset, May 2006: http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/vR ... directlink

Thanks. I use a Canon digital, and it has a panoramic mode that makes lining the photos up easy. (It shows you the previous shot on the edge)
Then, they include their "photostitch" software (I really think that's the name) that just automagically puts them together. Sure, you can tweak them, but I've never had to.. It does a fairly decent job by itself. I tend to try to take one or two panoramas at each of the camps I'm at, especially looking out over their 'view.' Just kinda fun..

Very cool Tom. Thanks. My Photoshop Elements will do it too but I have not tried it yet. I will have to give it a go on this years trip.

Thanks for these, Tom and fonixmunkee. Terrific pictures.

I've not been to Todd Harbor, but I plan to overnight there on my trip this coming August.

Nice picture chorizo.

I like the campground, and the mine area and waterfall/stream near it is cool too.

I've found that the one shelter there is positioned to be a perfect sound receptacle for anyone in the dock area across the cove. The shelter is like one of those satellites the TV people hold up at sporting events to capture sound. I'm not one of those anti-people campers by any means, but I start to feel guilty or nosy in there when I feel like I'm eavesdropping.

I'll keep that in mind, as I will be using that dock when I visit.
