How do you all think the bugs will be the first week in sept. I hate to carry anything I dont need.

It is kind of a crapshoot. As warm as it has been, I would not be at all surprised if mosquitoes were still present particularly if the Island gets rain in the end of August.
I have been up there after Labor Day many times and some years no mosquitoes, some years a bit bothersome.

It's simple - if you carry bug dope there will be no bugs; if you leave it at home the bugs will be awful.
