I slept there last Wednesday (22nd) for a few hours before catching the boat. It was open even though the "grand opening" wasn't until Saturday. AWESOME place; and even though it's still a State Park, you don't need a park sticker to hike up to Pigeon Falls, which is only about a 1/2 mile up. Great leg stretcher, and the highest falls in Minnesota. The rest stop is very well placed along the river.
The only complaint (and this is stretching it) is that the parking lot is almost too well lit to catch some zzzs.

A couple days with gale winds and plenty of rain, and then waking up the final morning with ice, but that's fall! I'll be posting a TR when a little time opens up.
