Free access to National Forests coming?

Essentially, in 2013, we could see all fees for National Forests go away. How rad would that be? Or would it "bankrupt" the NFS? Discuss.

Personally, I don't mind paying the fees to use any park or N.F.

Even if you are already paying a fee to use a park or a NF? Technically, you're paying twice.

I should get a little better educated on where the money goes but I guess I kind of feel like they need every penny.

What do you mean by paying twice. I don't count paying to get there and paying for a permit as paying twice if that is what you mean. I agree with Aletco that we could be better educated on where our money is going to, but Im not too bothered by paying a fee. At least they limit it to $50 if you get the annual pass.

People seem to forget that it's your responsibility to pay for these things. Nat. parks and forests are YOUR property, you OWN them and it's YOUR responsibility to maintain them and contribute to the expense that comes with that maintenance.
Sure I pay twice and thats ok, I have even donated small bits of money to parks so I sometimes pay three times and am glad to do it.
