Yeppers, that was also my very first trip and quickly realized how unprepared I was for the temps. My husband doesn't need as many layers as I do. Live and learn, after five trips, in all kinds of weather, I am finally completely prepared.After coming up for the first boat a couple years ago and getting stuck in a blizzard in Duluth, followed by entering the North Gap to see snow on the rocks (I think you were both on that boat with me, Nancy and Mike), well, I'm glad May didn't work out for me and I won't be up until June...
