Nice hook-shot?
"And standing on the the crest of the Greenstone Ridge, I suddenly had this desire to retreat north to where I just come, to stay in the backcountry, to spend another day in a place where the only deadline I had was to pitch the tent before dark."

If wolves are a solution to the supposed problem of overpopulation of moose, why can't there be a moose hunt? Besides people's infatuation with megafauna like moose, there really wouldn't be much difference between taking moose or taking fish. Except, well a lot of $$$ could be generated by selling the tags and providing services to hunters who would give a testicle to get a shot at taking a moose.

Hunting isn't an option. Isle Royale is not only a national park, but it's also an UNESCO International Biosphere Reserve. My understanding of that means that without an "indigenous" population on the island there will be no hunting.
