It has been a long time since I have been to IR and never came in at Rock harbor. We are planning our trip and so far have come up with this. All three of us are hikers and do hike fairly regularly. Is this doable? We will be arriving in Rock Harbor via the IR Queen from Copper Harbor.
Monday - Arrive Rock Harbor and hike to Moskey basin
Tuesday - Moskey Basin to Hatchet Lake
Wednesday - Hatchet Lake to McCargoe Cove
Thursday - Mccargoe Cove to Daisy Farm or Three Mile
Friday - Daisy Farm/Three Mile to Rock Harbor and boat ride to Copper Harbor
Any recommendations/suggestions welcome.

How are you getting to the Island? Rock Harbor to Moskey could be a tough hike if you are coming on the Ranger. It would be easier if you were coming on the Queen since you would get an earlier start. The rest of your trip sounds ok, that first day would be a serious hike.

On Day Two, I'd get up a little earlier and hike to Todd Harbor instead of Hatchet Lake. It's only an extra two miles and is a much nicer place to camp, in my opinion.

Sounds like a great trip! I've done Rock Harbor to Moskey Basin the first day all three times I've been to the island and it always seems a butt-kicking hike, probably because of the late start.
