Recent video of Isle Royale trip/conditions

Although it rained twice during my visit, it has been very dry the past month and there are hornet warnings. I didn't see any moose, but I met a group of hikers who saw a wolf(!) and 5 moose (1 bull, 2 cows, 2 calf) on a hike from Hidden Lake to Rock Harbor.

My itinerary:

• July 26th: Rock Harbor to Lane Cove (active beaver dam en route to Lane Cove)

• July 27th: Lane Cove to Daisy Farm

• July 28th: Daisy Farm to Three Mile (great hammock camping at Three Mile)

• July 29th: Three Mile to Rock Harbor (rangers are advising avoiding Rock Harbor Trail due to rocky/rooty conditions)

Nice. We will be there next week. The forecast is cloudy but I'm hoping for at least some sun while we are there.

Thanks for posting! Will be backpacking there soon and we are debating the Rock Harbor Trail - great to see it in the video.
