The hour fast approaches.
It's getting to be time. Tomorrow morning I start my 3-day, 1421 mile migration to Houghton. I may check in here once or twice along the way. See you on I.R.!

We may see you toward the latter part of your trip. We'll have our two young girls with us so won't be hard to spot.
Enjoy!

Enjoy - I may see you as well - it will be and my 24 year old son (last minute addition to my previous solo effort).
I head out on Wednesday for the drive and get on the Ranger Friday morning.

It's in stages. Today was 250 miles to Montgomery. Brother and I spent afternoon sorting, weighing, testing, packing and checking. Early tomorrow we hit the road arriving in Houghton Monday evening. Tuesday is Ranger III day. A long trip but we have 6 books on tape and about 20 music CDs. Toughest part will be getting around Chicago. Lafayette, Ind. is about half way but we are looking at either making it north of Chicago Sunday night or taking a western route that avoids the city altogether.jerry wrote:Don, I thought my 15 hour trip to Copper Harbor was a challenge!
